R Brandon Long

R. Brandon Long works full time as the Marketing Director for locally-owned outdoor sporting goods retailer, GEAR:30. As Marketing Director, Brandon is heavily involved in the community through outreach and events.

Brandon is a founding member of The Banyan Collective media company. Originally formed around the flagship podcast the Ogden Outdoor Adventure Show, The Banyan Collective has grown to produce six shows in which Brandon is host or co-host of five, and is the producer of all six. The Banyan Collective produces podcasts focusing on Arts & Adventure, and includes the Ogden Outdoor Adventure Show, Van Sessions, Nine Rails Arts Podcast, LITerally, Through the Pines Financial Podcast, and Leaky Waders Fly Fishing Podcast. The Banyan Collective’s Todd Oberndorfer and R Brandon Long were recipients of the Media Arts category at the 2018 Ogden City Mayor’s Awards in the Arts.

Brandon recently finished serving two years as Chair of the Ogden City Arts Advisory Committee and one year as Vice Chair. Brandon continues to serve on the committee representing the Media Arts Chair. 

Brandon holds a BS in Creative Writing with a Minor in Photography from Weber State University, and uses his writing skills forming pithy content for Instagram.
