Ann's Art Shop

I had my 1st exposure to jewelry making while in high school. I knew that I wanted to pursue it in college. I received my BFA degree from the University of Kansas in 1971. After college, I set up a studio and sold pieces to local businesses in Vail Colorado. I met my husband and we moved to Scottsdale Arizona. I taught private classes and became director of the Scottsdale park’s department where I taught jewelry classes and submitted for all other classes. I was also making jewelry for an authentic Indian jewelry gallery. After moving to Colorado and having 4 sons, I made jewelry at home and did craft fairs all over the state. I won many ribbons and awards for my work. I continued to teach private lessons. I opened my own art gallery in 1992. Besides making jewelry, I am an accomplished artist in watercolor, acrylics, and oils. I have also won awards for my paintings. I became proficient offering matting and framing to customers at our gallery. My jewelry designs are unique and one of a kind. I work mainly in Sterling silver using genuine stones. I use fabrication methods rather than casting. I Form my work from flat sheets and wire by use of soldering and reticulation. My husband and I moved to Utah about a year ago. We live in South Ogden.
