The Monarch Announces Holiday Giving Drive Benefiting Ogden’s YCC Family Crisis Center

2019/12/Donor-Ornament-ThomasPrinters.jpgOgden, UT (December 12, 2019): Now through December 21st, The Monarch is accepting donations for a Holiday Giving Drive benefiting their Nine Rails neighbor, the YCC Family Crisis Center. YCC’s mission is to “save and change lives” in the Ogden community by working to prevent and alleviate domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness by providing safety, services and resources for those in need. At the holidays, YCC raises funds to support over 400 families with gifts for children along with clothing and household items for families. This year, The Monarch rallies behind YCC to assist in raising funds and accepting donations on behalf of the Center.

Donations bins are located in The Monarch lobby, “the Gist,” under the Holiday Giving Tree where items will be accepted during regular business hours and at special events. Cash donations can be made at The Art Box, who is also participating in the drive by giving 10 percent of their felted snowman ornament proceeds to YCC, and offering $10 gift cards to those who donate $100 or more.

Cash donors will be celebrated with a commemorative ornament, hung in their name on The Monarch’s Giving Tree. Ornaments have been lovingly designed, crafted and donated by Monarch studio member, Thomas Printers. Cash donations can also be made online at www.ycchope.org.

Accepted donation items include:

  • New Clothing for kids (infants – teens) such as shirts, pants, dresses, boots/shoes, underwear, socks, pajamas, coats/jackets.
  • New, unwrapped toys.
  • New household items (as families transition to more stable homes they will need basic household items.)
