Painter – Studio 41
To live in these times is in a lot of ways scary, and in all of my recent works I’m working to acknowledge that, and to overcome it. My painting addresses the instability and complexity of the contemporary world. The images are autonomous, whole on their own terms (I hope), but interrelated in an ongoing argument with myself about the know-ability of the other, and even of the self.
I am a painter currently based in Ogden, Utah. I also currently serve as Professor and Department Chair of the Department of Visual Art & Design at Weber State University. My current studio practice encompasses oil and acrylic painting, as well as digital painting.
