Inaugural 9 Rails Film Festival on November 24 to Donate Proceeds to local filmmaker and O1ARTS for Nine Rails Creative District

Ogden, UT (October 21): O1ARTS is proud to partner with the inaugural 9 Rails Film Festival at The Monarch featuring the cult 2019/11/9-Railes-Art-Event-Poster.jpegclassic film, “Plan 10 from Outer Space,” by local independent film writer and director Trent Harris. The event on Sunday, November 24 will feature a live appearance by Harris for the screening of the sci-fi satire film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 1994—followed by a Q & A session with Harris. All proceeds from this event will benefit the artist and O1ARTS.

The 9 Rails Film Festival is the brainchild of two community-focused business owners with a vested interest in Ogden’s Nine Rails Creative District—Christopher T. Ostler (Madison Place AirBnB) and Rebecca Sato (Cuppa Cafe): “The 9 Rails Film Festival features local films and their creators. This annual film festival is an opportunity for the amazing venues and businesses in and around the Nine Rails Creative District to honor and sustain the creative spirit that thrives within.”

Ostler and Sato hope to find ways to collaborate with other film enthusiasts, organizations and students moving forward and extend an open invite to support one another’s efforts in bringing the celebration of film to Ogden.

Guests will be welcomed at 5:30 with a light reception catered by WB’s including a cash bar at The Monarch. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, costume contest, and art by Steve D. Stones available for purchase. Film starts at 7 p.m. tickets are $8 and can be purchased here.
